Magnetic Island Palms

The story behind this image is quite a tale. My best friend and I travelled to Airlie Beach for the weekend and while we were there we heard about Magnetic island off the coast of Townsville so we hopped on google maps and saw we were only 3 hours away so we decided to pack our bags and drive to Townsville for the night to explore Magnetic island. While on the island we decided to take the fort’s walk – horseshoe bay. After 12 kilometres of hiking in 40-degree weather, we found this lovely black cockatoo eating some nuts while hanging upside down in the coconut tree and I did not let the photo opportunity pass.
